FINE ARTS DAY 2011

Everyone had a great time on Friday, Jan. 21st, which was Fine Arts Day at Smithfield. I tried to get a picture of everyone in our class but I know that I missed a few students. The children visited many different classrooms throughout Fine Arts Day. The children had four sessions of art during the day and after lunch they enjoyed an hour of entertainment. Students from Paschal High School did Spanish Folklorico Dancing for us which the class enjoyed very much. Even some of our teachers got to try out some new dance steps.
I hope you enjoy the slideshow.

OUR CLASS BLOG REACHES 8,000 VISITORS

I just noticed that our classroom blog has reached 8,000 visitors. That is amazing. I have also been surprised at the number of visitors that have come from other countries.
I enjoy looking at the world map (Visitor Locations)) to see where people come from that visit our blog. Take a look you might be surprised also. Just click on the world map on the right hand side of our blog to see visitors from all over the world. We've had visitors from every continent except Antartica. When I started this blog I never thought we'd have visitors from so many different places. Wow!

KICK OFF YOUR SHOES!

Students who bring one dollar on Tuesday, for the United Way Drive, can wear slippers in class. Bring in your dollar and enjoy wearing some comfortable footwear on Tuesday. Don't forget to bring some regular shoes for PE and recess time. Let's all show our support for the less fortunate and be comfortable at the same time.
