Special Visitors

Mr. Todd, from Southwestern Dairy Association, and his pal Angel visited with K-2 nd graders today. This was Angel's first visit to Smithfield but her mother had been to our school many times.
Angel is a black and white Hereford cow and she weighs 1,400 pounds. She eats 40 pounds of food a day and drinks 10 or more gallons of water a day.
Mr. Todd has lots of fun cow facts and he is always a big hit with the children. Angel did a great job too. Everyone had a great time.

Seven little plants have sprouted. Caroline's plant has grown the most so far.
